Hi. I am Vincent Jansen, the instructor for this course. I live in Hatley and enjoy living and working in a rural setting. My current role is as Business Analyst for a UK company which specializes in administrative software and virtual learning. Later this summer I will join LEARN and provide consultant services (MaST) for the Anglophone sector in Quebec. I have a good curricular background and extensive experience integrating technology into learning spaces. I feel technology is an enabler which can leverage my skills to allow me to work smarter not harder! I do have a blog and several wikis.

Hi.. Bridget...

Hi..my name is Ann..

Hello. My Name is Angela Crosbie and I am a teacher at PCHS with the LBPSB. I have just completed my third year in highschool and teaching, so far so good! I currently teach various students with speical learning needs, all below level and find myself creating my own QEP based 'lessons'. I graduated from BU in 2004 and am happy to be here again working towards my Masters in Leadership. I use various Web 2.0 applications to keep in touch with my students. MSN seems to be my favorite on so far because I can control if they see me or not! :) I think keeping in touch with them helps me connect with them.

Anne Lawton: I graduated from B.U. in 2000 and have been teaching cycle 3 at Cookshire Elementary for 6 years after a year at Pope Memorial and Sawyerville Elementary. I am presently moving all of my "stuff" to Sherbrooke Elementary where I will teach grade 6. Empty nest on the horizon: my 2 children will be moving out in September, both will be off to University. I will be starting a 2 year project with LEARN/CEFRIO so this course will get me off on the right foot. I'm 45, and was an RN before I became a teacher. I live with my husband and kids in Sherbrooke.

Hello my name is Marie-Chantal Vincent: I am working with Vince in a MEQ project on need assessment for teachers on Professional Development and the new reform. I have a master’s degree in remote sensing (environment) and many publications. I have worked at Sherbrooke University as a research assistant; this enabled me to develop a Strong theoretical background, strong analytical skills in scientific and technical information exchange. I have a bachelor degree in applied computer science (geography) and 20 years experience as a project manager (Canada and United State) in information technology.

Hello! My name is Anie Craig and I am a high school math and computer science teacher. I graduated from Bishop's in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer sciences and then went to U of Montreal to get my bachelor's degree in high school teaching. I came back to Bishop's and started this master's degree in 2004 and this is my seventh course already. Since then, I got married on July 30th 2005 and had a beautiful little girl in June 2006. Juliette just turned one year old on June 25. My husband, daughter and I live in Sherbrooke and this is our second year in our new house. I guess this is enough about me for now!!!

Hi! My name is Julie Meilleur. I've just completed my first year as a teacher. I was teaching a cycle two class (grade three and four) at North Hatley Elementary. This year my students and I have experimented with Wimba which is an interactive tool used as a virtual classroom. It was linked to a unit on wolves. The students and myself really enjoyed working with Wimba, I hope to learn more about it and use more of it in the future. I am not quite sure yet where I will be teaching this upcoming September, but the word is- I should find out this week--I can't wait!

Hi. I'm Scott Kelso. I have been an English Language Arts teacher at Bishop's College School here in Lennoxville for six years. I graduated from Queen's University in 2001 with a B.A (English) and B.Ed (Intermediate/Senior English and History), and started working on my M.Ed at Bishop's last summer. I'm no technophobe (if that exists), but I haven't strayed too far from the predictable worlds of wordprocessing, i-Movie, some web-based research, and the occasional blog in my classes, so I look forward to exploring some of the technological possibilities this course may offer for future use in my classroom.
